College Admissions Site

College Admissions Site February 28, 2013 Theres a college admissions site that mocks aspects of the college admissions process. Yesterday, we wrote about an article in the newspaper of the University of Pennsylvania, The Daily Pennsylvanian, that discussed how an admissions officer at an Ivy League school wrote about the  college essays  of students on Facebook. Well, today, we wanted to share with you a  college admissions site  presumably created by a college admissions officer or officers. The site, a Tumblr blog, is basically inside jokes for folks in the college admissions community. Similar sites like this have popped up in other industries (i.e., among agency assistants in Hollywood). On the site, dubbed Admissions Problems, theres a caption that reads, When a Prospie Brings Five Family Members to Their Tour. Beneath it is a person scowling. Heres another: When our Visit Coordinator Added an 8:30 AM Tour Time. The image? Shock and horror. When Tumblr Loses the Entire Excerpt from Essay Post. The image? Frustration. Anyhow, you get the idea. If you want to check out more admissions problems, check out the amusing  inside admissions site  here. What do you think about college admissions officers venting their frustrations on the Internet? Do you think its inappropriate for them to share their opinions, even jokingly, with respect to the admissions process? Let us know your thoughts on the matter by posting below!
