Makayla Kroshus Ms. Estrella Lopez 8th English Language Arts 09 November 2017 Teen/Adult Suicides Suicides in the United States have increased in the last year has increased by 9%. The Problems With Suicide/ Percent of Deaths With Suicide In 1980 nearly 27,000 people took their own lives, making suicide the 10th most common cause of death. 57 percent of the cases of suicide in the United States involved firearms. In 2015 Suicide had been marked the second leading cause of death from ages 10-24. Suicide has been a major health problem in the United States since 1980. The suicides in The United States recently increased because of California and New York. â€Å"Suicide is the second leading cause of death for college-age youth and ages 12-18†Ã¢â‚¬ ¦show more content†¦Depression for most women is because their bodies are chemically unbalanced and the pills have chemicals inside of them and when women take those antidepressants the pill helps balance out the chemicals inside their bodies. Some people just don’t believe they belong in this world and the antidepressant supposably helps them, but studies have proved that most women are just addicted to the pills. Even when doctors say they don’t nee d the prescription anymore the people who were taking them their bodies and their minds tell them that they need the pills but they don’t. The antidepressants have been also used as a drug, so doctors are not allowed to give out antidepressant pills as much as they used to because there has been a series amount of overdoses with the antidepressant pills. Studies have shown that the amount of overdoses were purposely because 1. There was a suicide note or a letter. And 2. The people that just did it took too much purposely. So what people think might help with their depression might actually be the cause of their life ending. What Causes People To Take Their Own Life And How The most common reason why people take their own life is because 1. Bullied 2. They have a mental health issues. 3.
